About that safety switch thing...don't think there is much safety in stalling the bike when crossing an intersection, then having to find neutral QUICKLY so that you can get the damn thing started again. The bike is my wife's, but I screwed up on it also. My Sportster doesn't have the safety stuff...I started it in gear once, and now EASILY REMEMBER the trouble it caused and I'm more careful now....glad I can start it quickly, cause it stalls often
